Invisible Threads

“Thin skin allows transparency. I write of the geography of the desert, mountain and river … As I walk, the map rolls out before me, the contours are exposed like mountains above the arctic circle.

The natural world enlivens and heals. It reminds of a vast presence greater than human beings, beyond our control. It evokes all the senses and is both unsettled and still. Here the boundaries between our inner and outer journeys dissolve. Expression emerges in the place between sky and earth. These compositions allow the fluid relationship between image and word in transparent kimonos, scrolls, mobiles & artists’ books.
